What about a sales/trading forum? I've noticed some members have nice stuff for sale...a forum for all those threads might be good so they are easier to find/browse through rather than scattered over different forums.

I think it would be good if everyone put what city or state in Australia they are from (or what country if they don't live in Australia) and their age or age bracket that they are in, under their avatar. It helps to know this when you are reading threads or posting.

Can i make a suggestion that threads be kept on topic? There are an awful lot of threads now that seem to span off into obscurity or on topics that really should be in other threads. A little frustrating when people wants answers to things. Just a suggestion

No probs, been thinking the same - thus, we will need to be more adamant about keeping on topic and Admin will either SPLIT topics into a different thread OR delete off-topic threads that don't provide anything more to the topic (or can't be made into another topic).

How does that grab ya?

I agree, especially when it is needed for gathering information that the member really needs or wants. But there should be a few areas of the forum where it is okay to go off topic like the photographers lair. If the photos are of a medical nature then they could be posted in the medicine box.

Can the member please be given a gentle reminder by admin or another member to stay on topic instead of deleting threads?

I agree Madelene.

I think a reminder first, and then if it continues to get off topic either splitting the thread or perhaps locking it.

Well, yes, that goes without saying - reminder first. Deleting is only considered an absolutely extreme case when things go way out of control! And it certainly wouldn't be done without the authors permission or notification.

Not sure whether I'm posting this in the right place, but there seems to be a problem with one of the pages on the main ACS site (as opposed to the forum).

If you start at http://www.australiancavysanctuary.com/ and click on the image, you get to http://www.australiancavysanctuary.com/index2new.html. From there, if you click the link near the top called "The Shelters", you get to http://www.australiancavysanctuary.com/acsshelters1.html. The problem is that that page doesn't list the Sydney shelter. Some of the other pages DO list the Sydney shelter, but they're not linked from that page. So people could easily come to the ACS site looking for a shelter in NSW and go away again having concluded that there isn't one. :-(

P.S. The forum mangled one of my links there. The final page I mentioned above should be http://www.australiancavysanctuary.com/acsshelters1.html (not http://www.australiancavysanctuary.com/acsshelters1.html.).
